Betsy's Crepes in Downtown Southern Pines, NC

Betsy's Crepes is another one of my favorite places to eat in downtown Southern Pines. They have a variety of different savoury and sweet crepes to choose from. They're all delicious and extremely fancy. Almost all of them are $12 and below. Their crepes are named after European things in the mid centuries, and royals, like the Eiffel, a really savoury dish. For example, they have the Mary Antoinette, a dessert crepe with your choice of batters to choose from (I recommend Hungarian Batter because it's sweeter), Nuetela, bananas, strawberries, and whipped cream. If you don't want whipped cream, just ask them not to put it on. They also have a really good crepe called Josephine where it has goat cheese and caramelized onions for $7.0 with your own choice of batter (I chose the regular because it suits more of the lunchy type of crepe rather than a sweeter type like a Hungarian batter), and if you want chicken added to it, it'll jut cost $9.0 total, which the dish has a large side salad. You get a lot with what you pay for.  This place is always filling, and we always have to save room for dessert, which is also filling too, but really good! I like to come here for lunch because it's relaxing. This place is usually crowded at around 11a. -1p. You can make reservations if you'd like, but most likely you don't have to.

The inside is so unique. First, every table is different, so it has  unique flow to the restaurant. It's usually a 'find your own table' type of seating, which is nice because you can get to choose a table that best suits you (in my opinion). Kids always come, and really enjoy it a lot. This is a kid friendly place to eat, or a 'groups of people who want to hangout and have a nice lunch together' type of restaurant. The restaurant is so charming, and has a lot of character built to it. Second, they have unique decor on the walls like a giant fork, almost as tall as the doorway, that's is made out of the same material as a regular fork. The staff who work there are excellent, patient, really pleasant to talk to, and listen very well to the customers orders. On the tables, the restaurant has menus, around 3-4-5(depending on the table), to the side or the middle, so its convenient to not have to wait to get the menu. The prices are average, I assume, like at most creperies

This building is next to a bakery called Broad St. Bakery & Cafe that sells really good meals, cakes, and fudge. Betsy's Crepes is located on 127 SW. Broad St. Southern Pines, NC 28387. Hours are Monday- Friday @ 7a. -4p., Saturday @ 8a.- 4p., and on Sunday @ 9a.- 2p.  Prices vary overtime. You can visit them at Betsyscrepes.com or call them at (910) 246-2406 for more information. This building is a creamy yellow brick building with large white windows. I hope you come to this place because the food is fanstatsic. It's easy to pay. They write down what you order of what you ask them, and lay it on the table. When you're finished eating, you leave your food or whatever on the table and take the order ticket to the front and pay. That's it! I hope you find this blog to be helpful, and if you liked it, tell me what you think by writing me to my email at josh.g.0719@gmail.com or at j98gabs@yahoo.com . Thankyou for reading this and I hope you've enjoyed what you read. Please come visit this place, it's worth the time like always!

The Blue Horse Market

THE BLUEHORSE MARKET

The Blue Horse Market is a small market on the outskirts of Whispering Pines, NC and Vass Carthage, NC. It was once known as Matthew's Market, a small gas station with great ice cream. The quickmart quickly became known as the new 'Blue Horse Market'. This business started booming greatly when the 2014 U.S.Open Men and Women back to back championships tournament was in session.

This place is great. I love there fresh ice cream at a good price. It has the same snacks you would see at a really nice gas station. It also has a wide selection of Wines, Fudges, Drinks, and other unique thing you'd see at a really nice high-end mini-market or upscale drugstore.

They have a lounge area, a large sitting area, a play space for the kid's, and a grocery section in the back. They switch around the place to give it a new updated fresh vibe. They have a gift area where you can find little rustic knickknacks such as birdhouses, gadgets, and home furnishings. The service is great, as always in most places in this area. It has music playing, candy, and a movie section. They sell really good sodas in the front desk. They also brew their own unique coffee everybody loves! Sometimes they had really good cookies in the front that they sold.

Their ice-cream is really tasty. My favorite ice cream there is the Dulce de'Leche. It's was so sweethat, soft, and cream.  I had it everytime my family took us out on an evening drive through the country farms and town. It was really sunny and was at around 4 or 5pm when the sun was about to set and was very bright. It made it enjoyable to eat. It's fun to go there. I'll go there again at anytime! They make the place an enjoyable visit every time. I recommend this place for anyone who loves evening drives and cozy atmospheres and relaxed settings.

They have magazines and books, and they add more things to do and see every day. Try and drop by here and have a visit. It's well worth 15-45 Minutes! This place is located at 3196 Vass-Carthage Rd, Carthage, NC 28327. Times are open on Monday- Friday at 6a.- 7p., and on Saturday at 9a.- 5p.  Sundays are closed. You can call them at  (910) 949-2996 or visit them at their site at bluehorsemarket.com. Popular times to go at are in the mornings at 6-9a. or noon-6p.
