Chapman's Food and Spirits, Southern Pines NC

November 19th, 2016

             CHAPMAN'S Food & Spirits

FIRST of all, I have to say that we were standing out in the cold, and we went to eat somewhere after an event in downtown. Upon arriving, 15 minutes early (precisely), they let us in because of the cold weather outside, as they did to many others, which we really appreciated very much. Once we got in, they sat us down and gave us all menus. I really thought that was helpful because I had never been here before, so I had plenty of time to look over the menu.

When they asked us what we want to drink, I asked what they had, because it wasn't clearly labled on the menu. They said they have Coke products, tea, lemonade, and an Arnold Palmer. Well, I said Yes to the Arnold Palmer. They asked "Do you want sweet or nonsweet tea mixed with it. I asked if you can do half-sweet and nonsweet tea, and they said "I think we can make that work". It was delicous.

They came back, and we ordered our food. Two of us ordered soup (I had Lobster Bisque), which went with Oyster Crackers, and it was very tasty! We also ordered an Entreé of which was called the Tuna Lobster Salad, which had chopped lobster, raw ahi-tuna on top of assorted lettuce, also with a small portion of wakewe salad mixed in it, and on the side went a Sesame Ginger dressing. The salad and lobster had a hint of wasabi already mixed in it, but it was very opaque, and you could hardly taste it in there. Must I say, the portions are big. It was enough to fill up 2-3 adults.  The meal was presented very well, and it tasted very delicious.

The menu was presented well too, and on it they have soups, sandwiches, Entreés, seafood, pasta, burgers, etc.. They also have their Daily Specials. The back of the menu has a large selection of drink and spirits (cocktails, wines, and beers). So, overall, I'm very pleased with service, food, presentation, care and effort they put into this place. I will definitely come back here again when I get the chance. Thankyou!

The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere. The atmosphere and surroundings were charming, quiet, peaceful, and appealing to the local taste. The surroundings have a higher contemporary elegance and ambience that matches the towns charm.

In the restaurant they have 3 rooms combined. Two rooms are dining rooms, and the third is a raised bar. The decor is really nice, comfortable, and we'll laid-out. Service is open at 11a. -10p,( as is the bar, too), all week (including Sunday). Hours vary depending on Holidays. The restaurant is located on 157 E New Hampshire Ave, Southern Pines NC, 28387, next to O'Donnells Pub. If you need more information, their phone number is (910) 246-0497 or visit them at www.chapmansfoodandspirits.com.
