Ice Cream Parlor

A Time at the Ice Cream Parlor

Hi guys, this is me, Josh, writing my first blog. Today, I'd like to talk about the Ice Cream Parlor in Downtown Southern Pines NC, one of the many places I go to in the area.  I really enjoy their kind, friendly fast service that they have. I enjoy their hard work and effort they put into this place, making it run really smoothly. The staff work hard and are very focused in what they do. They treat everyone like a special guest, and are good people to make friends with. You don't really see that in a lot of places. I admire the work they put into service. They get everyone's specific needs done to the way they order. The building is a quaint, charming little place to be, settled in a neighboring row of small businesses in the heart of historic downtown Southern Pines. It's a great place to stop by while your walking around and touring town. If you eat at the restaurant nextdoor, a pizza place called SoPies, then you might want to save room for dessert at the Ice Cream Parlor if you have any time and if you brought any kids, because it's something that you, your friends, and family should not turn down.

It's located right next to the Train station at walking distance. It's near the Sunrise Theater which is a local one-roomed two-storied theater that shows plays, music, movies, and performances. It's something you should check out when you go to the Parlor. They have wonderful food like burgers and hotdogs and such, and great homemade ice cream with a wide selection of choices of ice cream to choose from. You can order a homemade root beer float with your choice of ice cream and sodas that they have in bottles.  Or maybe you could get the ice cream in a homemade batter waffle cone or a small, medium, or large cup.  They have some sweets there like candy and such. I really enjoy their atmosphere of the place, it gives it a downtown classy historic perk to it. It's best to go at around 12p.- 6p. It sits upon the corner of West New Hampshire Ave, and NW Broad St., hours open on Monday through Saturday at 10:30a. -9p., and Sunday at 10:30a. -8p. Ice cream is very affordable and delicious, so is all the food. They change their ice cream around often, to give a variety. Everything here is delicious and extraordinary. Kids are obviously welcome, there's plenty of seating. There's also an outdoor seating area, where you can watch the trains go by. They have a lot on the menu here, so you won't go hungry. They have meals and a bunch of snacks. Please come here and see what you think. My email's josh.g.0719@gmail.com for comments and questions and suggestions for topics to write about places and things that are in town. Thankyou for reading this and there more stories coming ahead. I hope you have enjoyed this blog, and check out more stories later on in the future. If you do write back, please tell me what you think, and please let it be simple. I'll be back later, but until next time, I'll see you soon!
